This week I have been inspired by the BBC’s report on the decline of the PC. This is due to the sales of tablets. It’s predicted that the number of tablet devices sold will exceed PC sales some time next year (2014).
This ties in well with my observations on Founders at Work and the need to "Think ahead – project the technical and market roadmap to the next few years and fill a gap". It also ties into my thoughts that developers should be trying to do more on tablets to create sophisticated apps that do a lot more than the average $0.99 app.
Most people think of an app as a small piece of functionality. i.e. An app as a small application. Now is the probably the time to think about full tablet applications if you want to catch the next wave.
