Free UK Phones and Contracts
Yesterday, I talked about $16 BOM phones. Well, today I came across UK retailers that are literally giving away phones INCLUDING free voice and sms usage. How?
Well, it seems that if you are organised enough to apply for refunds at the right time, over the course of your contract and you cancel at the end of the contract then you can effectively get the phone and contract for free. All I can think is that they are relying on people forgetting to apply for the refunds.
From what I can tell, the retailer, not the not the network operator, is giving the refunds. This obviously relies on the retailer sticking around during for 12 or 18 months.
