Carbide.j Dropped
I am not sure when it actually happened but Nokia has dropped further development of Carbide.j. The reasoning is that the EclipseME plugin and Sun’s NetBeans IDE with Mobility Pack provide two adequate solutions.
This all makes sense. In the (distant) past I tended to avoid Sun’s development tools as they were slow and cumbersome. Similarly, I had problems with early versions of EclipseME. The alternative tools have since matured and moved on to the point where Carbide.j probably isn’t needed.
