SSHForwarding

If you are into writing enterprise applications for Nokia S60 you will be probably concerned about security of the Internet connection. Your first thoughts might be how to install and set up an IPSec configuration. However, there’s a new innovative solution called SSHForwarding

"SSHForwarding is an application for Symbian mobile devices (s60v3) which can make a connection to a remote ssh server and forward ports from the remote machine to the mobile device. This makes it possible to get and send email over a SSH encrypted link from a mobile phone based email client. Using SSHForwarding you avoid the need to setup an IPSec configuration to read and send email. Just run SSHForwarding and direct the email client to localhost for IMAP and SMTP and enjoy secure mobile email!"

It’s great to see more companies thinking about enterprise middleware and solutions. If my email is anything to go by, more and more companies are looking for database, man in a van and collaboration solutions.
