S60 UI Tutorial
One of the problems with S60 development is that it can be difficult to get an overall picture of how the UI hangs together. Yes, there’s lots of SDK information on individual classes and some on application architecture but newcomers often come away wondering where to start and how to provide basic UI features.
Today, I came across a great S60 UI Tutorial at symbianresources.com, used during Symbian OS courses at the University of Applied Sciences in Hagenberg, Austria.
It provides some great visual guides on UI nomenclature, resource structures and format, file types, localization, menus, command handling, strings, dynamic menus, dialogs, notes and forms. Think of it as a crash course in S60 UI programming!
