Getting Started with Symbian Development
I get quite a few people asking me how to go about starting Symbian development. People tell me it can be hard to know exactly where to start when there’s so much information on the Internet. Here are some links I usually send to people.
For introductory information on the SDKs and IDE look at the Getting Started Guide on developer.symbian.com. While you are there, take a look at the free booklets. If you want to do more than what’s available in the public SDKs the take a look at What Symbian OS Development Kit Do I Need ? Finally, there are some great books that offer the fastest way to learn about Symbian OS.
