New Proposed Symbian Signed Tests
If you follow my blog you will probably know I haven’t been a great fan of Symbian Signed. It seems that Symbian Foundation have been listening to myself and many others.
There’s a new draft test criteria document (needs free registration to view) on the Symbian Foundation blogs. The new aims for Symbian Signed are…
"to guarantee the origin of the application and to ensure that the application is "well-behaved" when installed onto the device"
The result is a much simplified Symbian Signed process "to make the process quicker, cheaper and less complex".
The changes are still draft and anyone can comment on the new tests. I have already done so because I thought the auto-start test was ambiguous. I suggest you also have a read if you are in any way affected by Symbian development processes.
